Bee Healthy at Fora Bee!

As stated before, one of the duties of a pharmacist is to perform inspections as agents of the Thailand FDA. After the bakery we went to Fora Bee Honey to see their process of making honey and to inspect that they are compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Fora Bee was started in 1975 and is one of the biggest honey traders and manufacturers in Thailand. They are international food safety certified and train the bee keepers every year to assure correct practices are performed.

Italian bees, Api Melifera, are used at Fora Bee.

Honey is good for energy boosting and reducing fatigue along with inhibiting bacteria and reducing inflammation. There are different honey products according to what season it is, for example, the longan fruit's season is from March to May and that is when the longan honey is made. We also saw honey beeswax that is being used for candles since the wax only melts at 145 degrees! After the inspection and toucr of the facilities we were able to browse the selection of food and beauty products that Fora Bee makes.

Hope everyone has a Beeutiful day!
